Timothy "Tim" Wade Theiss fell asleep in Jesus at his home in Cypress, Texas with his wife, Debbie, by his side on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the age of 66. Tim was born to Allen William Theiss and Florence Louise (Sanders) Theiss on November 1, 1955 in Houston, Texas at St. Joseph Hospital downtown. He was baptized on December 4, 1955 and confirmed on March 30, 1969 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Houston. He attended Messiah Lutheran School grades 1 through 8, Hamilton Junior High School, Waltrip High School, and Texas State University. Tim married his queen, Deborah "Debbie" Ruth Heidenrich at Trinity Lutheran Church in Klein, Texas on June 29, 1985.

Tim was employed in the oil and gas industry in the discipline of piping design right out of college for 45 years. Tim and Debbie were blessed with 37 years of marriage and three loving daughters, Lynea Ruth (Theiss) Sander, Rebekah Louise (Theiss) Stuckwisch, and Hanna Elisabeth Theiss. Tim was very active in the church in various leadership positions, most recently as Elder at Memorial Lutheran Church, Houston. We rejoice that his God-given faith sustained him as he bore many crosses in his earthly life. Though we grieve, we do not "grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Florence Theiss; and brother Clyde Theiss. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Theiss; daughter Lynea Sander and husband Jason and their children Luke, Peter, Rosalie and Philip; daughter Rebekah Stuckwisch and husband Zachary and their children Cherianne, Donovan, and Johann; and daughter Hanna; sister Beverly Enyart and husband Larry; sister-in-law Charlcye Theiss; brothers William Theiss and wife Katja, Thomas Theiss and wife Regina, and Steven Theiss; several nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and many friends.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Memorial Lutheran Church, 5800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057. The funeral will immediately follow at 10:00 AM on September 10 at Memorial Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Scott Murray officiating. Following the service, Tim's body will be laid to rest at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, 6619 Klein Cemetery Rd, Spring, Texas 77379.
