Timothy J. Reid, Sr., 70, of The Woodlands, TX, lost his battle with Frontotemporal Dementia on October 1st, 2023.

Born on November 19th, 1952, in Berea, OH, Tim was the son of the late Robert Reid, Sr. and Mary Reid (née Beadersted). A graduate of Westlake High School in the Class of 1971, he later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.

Tim launched his career as a Market and Product Planning Representative at Republic Steel. After earning his MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College, he held various roles, including Director of Corporate Communications at Brush Wellman and Payless ShoeSource. Tim capped his career with a remarkable tenure as VP of Investor Relations at Dollar Tree, Inc. He also committed his time and expertise to various volunteer roles, including serving as President of The First Friday Club of Cleveland, President of the ND Alumni Club of Northeast Kansas, VP of the NIRI Cleveland, OH Chapter, and Chairman of the St. John the Apostle Parish Pastoral Council in Virginia Beach, VA.

Tim was also active in supporting community theater in North Ridgeville, Oh and Topeka, Ks. He volunteered as a cantor and member of the church choir in several parishes.

Retiring in 2014, Tim spent his time writing, listening to music, enjoying good food, traveling, playing with his grandchildren, and volunteering. For four years, he served as the Hospitality Leader at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, greeting thousands of parishioners with a warm smile and friendly remark.

Tim is survived by his wife Lorrie (née Weeks); daughter Virginia Cunningham (Steve) of The Woodlands, TX; son Tim Reid, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; and grandchildren Abigail, Hannah, Hazel, Brantley, and Matthew. He was the brother of Robert Reid, Jr. (Maria) of Berea, OH, and sister Gail Urbanek (Al) of Vermillion, OH.  He is also survived by much loved nieces, nephews and cousins.  He received great joy from his family.

Funeral Mass

Tuesday, October 10th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 7801 Bay Branch Dr, The Woodlands, TX. A reception will follow at Tim and Lorrie's home.

Visitation: Friday, October 27th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jenkins Funeral Chapel, 2914 Dover Center Rd, Westlake, OH.

Memorial Mass: Saturday, October 28th, at 10:30 AM at St. Bernadette Parish, 2256 Clague Rd, Westlake, OH. Rite of committal to follow at Lakewood Park Cemetery, 22025 Detroit Rd, Rocky River, OH. A reception will follow at 1443 E. Erie Ave, Lorain, OH.
