Timothy Dean Becker, 63, of Cypress, TX, peacefully passed away on October 5, 2018 in his home in Cypress, TX.
Tim was born in Valley City, North Dakota to Gloria and Dean Becker on August 12, 1955. He attended Valley City High School and graduated in 1973. He received his associate's degree in engineering at North Dakota State College of Science in 1975. The beginning of his career took him to many locations worldwide while he worked in seismic exploration. He served as the President of Houston Geophysical Products, Incorporated before completing his career with Geospace Technologies. At Geospace, he served as a manager of product development and holds 5 patents for his designs. His work ethic, dedication, and kindness earned him the respect of both coworkers and management alike.
Tim married Debra O'Rear-Green on July 6, 1985 at St. John Lutheran Church in Cypress, TX. He loved spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren. He took trips to the mountains to enjoy fly fishing and hiking. In his daily life, he enjoyed golf, woodworking, and home projects.
Tim is preceded in death by his father Dean and sister LeeAnne. He is survived by wife Debra Becker; son Wade Becker and husband Art Campsey, and son Brent Green and wife Stephanie Green; mother Gloria Becker; brothers Steve Becker and wife Shelley, Terry Becker and wife Kim, and David Becker; grandchildren Luke and Olivia Green.
Tim's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Jaffer Ajani, Dr. Larry Driver, Nurse Myrla, and Nurse Ralph with MD Anderson Cancer Center for their treatment, love, and support. They also wish to express their utmost gratitude to Silverado Hospice for playing a major role in caring for Tim in his final days.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on October 9, 2018 at Klein Funeral Home at 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, TX 77065 to celebrate Tim's life and his journey to his heavenly home.
