Thomas Ray Wilson, age 78, of Spring Texas passed away March 29, 2026. He was born May 9, 1947 in Grove Oklahoma to the late Ray and Dorothy Wilson.
Thomas is survived by his wife Sandra Wilson, son Sherman Wilson and wife Patty Wilson, sister-in-law Martha Wilson, 4 stepchildren and their spouses, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 nephews.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Wilson.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 4th at 1:30pm at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas with services to follow at 2:00pm.
Thomas "Tom" Wilson, a man whose life was defined by service, compassion and quiet strength, passed away peacefully, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
After high school, Tom joined the Vista Program, dedicating himself to helping the American Indian community. In 1971, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, serving his country honorably. Following his discharge, he explored many paths before discovering his true calling in emergency services. Earning his EMS certification, Tom joined the Galveston Fire Department, where he devoted over 20 years to protecting and caring for his community until his retirement.
Tom's life was marked not by accolades, but by the countless lives he touched with his kindness, dedication, and willingness to serve. Family, friends, colleagues, and community members remember him as a steady, selfless presence who always put others first. He will be deeply missed by all who know him.
