Thomas Richard "Donnie" Turner of Tomball, Texas passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2025 at the age of 83 years old. He was also known as Tom to many of his friends.

He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Bruce and Verdell Turner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Turner, his daughter, Annette Hildebrandt, and siblings Margie Davis and Royce Turner.

He is survived by his daughter Pamela McDonough of Conroe, Texas, his sisters Louise James of Brewton, Alabama, Dorothy Goodwin of Montgomery, Texas and brother Michael Turner, of Montgomery, Texas, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donnie served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965 at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. His career as a designer draftsman spanned over 50 years.

Donnie was a loving father to Annette and Pam and devoted husband to Marsha, who remained his life long friend. He raised his family in church and was the music director
at Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Houston. He loved to sing and he could always be found with his guitar in hand. The highlight of most holiday gatherings was the family singing along to his lead. He doted on his family with so much love and support and created many lasting memories with numerous family vacations in the wintertime snow skiing and the wintertime to amazing tropical destinations.

Donnie loved life and his cats. He enjoyed travel, whether it was across the ocean, to the western United States, or one of his numerous trips to visit his sister in Alabama.

Services will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 9:45 A.M. Please join afterwards for a Celebration of Life and lunch at Goodsonś Cafe, 27931 SH 249, Tomball, Texas at 11:00 A.M
