With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Thomas Lee Strange, Sr. on October 13, 2025. A devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, he went home to be with his Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Born on August 29, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas, to John Richard and Beulah Frances (Hoot) Strange. Dad lived a life marked by hard work, quiet strength, and steadfast commitment to those he loved. He built a long and successful career as a supervisor at Honeywell, where his work ethic and leadership were deeply respected.

Tommy married his high school sweetheart, Gay Allmand, in 1962. They were blessed with two children, Tommy Lee, Jr. and Kimberly. They lived a beautiful life together until Gay was called home to Heaven in 2009 after a long illness.

Later in life, he was blessed to find love a second time. On November 26, 2021, he married Joyce Stevens-Strange, and together they shared four years filled with love, faith, and travel.

He was a devoted and loving father to his children, Tommy (Stephanie) Strange and Kimberly (Chad) Handley and a proud stepfather to Sheryl,(Bill) Childs, Todd (Sandra) Stevens and Alisha Stevens.  He embraced his role as Paw-Paw wholeheartedly and was cherished by his grandchildren, Jonathan (Megan) Strange, Morgan (Patrick) Neaves, and Ashley Handley; and by his step-grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Robinson, Brent Childs, Morgan Childs (Chris Foster) Cameron, Emma, Hannah, Addison, and Chloe Stevens. His love continued into the next generation, as he celebrated the lives of his great-grandchildren, Mason, Liam, Cid, Reese, Nash, and Mollie.

Above all, he was a man who loved his family deeply and unconditionally. He took pride in every accomplishment, every moment shared, and every life he helped shape. His quiet faith, kind heart, and steady presence will be missed beyond measure.

His influence extended beyond family to those in his "softball family" where he was know as Coach Tommy over a span of forty years.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Adelia Gay Strange, his brother, Teddy Strange and brother -in-law Robert Kilgore. He is also survived by his brothers Johnny (Penney), Kenneth (Veronica), Chad (Monica), sisters,  Kathy Kilgore and Fay Strange, and sister-in-law Janice Strange. He was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family of his wife, Gay. We rejoice in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord, and we carry his memory with us always.
