Thomas Parker, known to friends and family as " Tommy" or "TP," passed away on April 17th 2018, at the age of 55 years. Due to his father being in the military and working for the oil field, Tommy moved around most of his life. In 1981, he graduated from Slidell High School. He eventually settled down in Lafayette, Louisiana and then Houston, Texas. In 1988,he began working for the Lafayette Police Department in Louisiana. While working for the police department, Tommy worked for the narcotics unit until 2000. He also did various private security work with different companies. Returning in 2003, Tommy was assigned to be a hostage negotiator for the Lafayette Police Department. In 2012, he began working for the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Department and then integrated into Hub Enterprises, where he conducted private investigations all around Texas. Tommy is survived by his mother and father Dorothy and Larry Parker, spouse, Barbara Parker, children Ranee, Sydney, and Dustin Parker and his sister, Teresa Vahrenkamp, niece, Taylor Vahrenkamp and brother-in-law, Kenneth Vahrenkamp.
