Thomas P. Martin; husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Monday November 30th at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his wife of more than fifty years, Ruth Carol Christianson. He is survived by his oldest son, Patrick and his wife Nicole and their sons Conor and Colin, his daughters, Mary and Anne, his youngest son, Tim and his wife Tamara and their children Ryan, Ashley, Mitchell and Victoria.

Prior to his 31 years of retirement, Tom worked for Shell Oil Co. for 34 years as an engineer and construction superintendent. He attended LaSalle Academy in the borough of Manhattan in New York. Tom was then accepted and attended the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point New York. After graduation in 1951, he served in the Merchant Marines and Navy. Following his military service Tom worked for the United Fruit Company and Lykes Lines as a marine engineer on their ships. He eventually ended up in Houston Texas where he met his wife Ruth, they were married in Hibbing, Minnesota on December 29, 1956. Tom attended the University of Houston where he earned a Mechanical Engineering degree.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 12th, at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 19222 SH 249, Houston (77070). Visitation will be at 12:30 Saturday December 12th at Klein Funeral Home 1400 West Main Tomball (77375).
