Thomas Trigg Lupher

Thomas Trigg Lupher, age 76, of Tomball, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 24, 1949, in San Angelo, Texas, Trigg graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1967 (Go Bears!) and later attended the University of Houston (Go Coogs!). Following in the family's proud tradition of engineering and land surveying, he earned his Texas Certified Engineering Technician Certificate and went on to become a licensed Texas Land Surveyor. As CEO of American Lupher Land Surveyors, Trigg led with integrity and earned the respect and admiration of his peers throughout the industry.

Trigg was preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor Lupher and Bill Lupher. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Gail Lupher, his children Jennifer Horbovetz, Andrew Lupher and wife Kylie, Brach Lupher and wife Melissa, and William Lupher and wife Rachel; as well as his beloved grandchildren Josh and Jared Horbovetz, and Lily and Mina Lupher. He also leaves behind his siblings Jane Cavazos and husband Paul, Mary Garrett and husband Bob, Mark Lupher and wife Vicki, Bob Lupher and wife Shelly, Karl Lupher, and a large, loving extended family of nieces and nephews.

A man of deep faith, Trigg was a longtime member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tomball, where he served as a charter member of the Knights of Columbus and proudly achieved the rank of 4th Degree Knight. His devotion to prayer—especially the rosary—and his constant support for others reflected his generous and compassionate spirit.

Like Saint Francis, Trigg had a special love for all of God's creatures. Over the years, he shared his home and heart with many dogs—Flynn, Ruya, Dutchess, Kiska, Henry, Charlie, Teddy, and Lily—as well as Bentley, affectionately known as "Billy," the cat who thought he was a dog and joined the family on walks. Trigg found great joy in feeding the birds, deer, and squirrels and greeting any other wildlife that wandered into his yard.

Trigg was also an active supporter of his sons' many youth sports teams and a loyal fan of Case Keenum, University of Houston Cougar sports, and the Houston Astros. He enjoyed staying connected with family and friends, often sharing encouragement, humor, and faith through social media.

Those who knew Trigg will remember him for his servant's heart, his unwavering kindness, and his deep love for family, faith, and community. He put others before himself in every aspect of life and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, humility, and joy.
