Thomas Larry Parker was born on June 2, 1939 in Jones County, Mississippi. He was known to most, as "Larry".

Larry graduated from Jones County Agricultural High School in 1957. On September 3rd, he married Dorothy Welborn. They celebrated 64 years of marriage, recently. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1962 and served through 1965, until he was honorably discharged while residing in Tuscon, Arizona. He worked for Otis Engineering/Halliburton Energy Services from May 1966-June 1994. After his retirement, he worked for Tam International and CUDD Energy Services, until April 2009. In more recent years, he worked at H-E-B, where he loved greeting and serving customers.

Larry and Dorothy had two children, Tommy and Teresa. Due to his work, he and his family were relocated to various places in the oilfield. Larry was an avid fisherman. He loved fishing in different tournaments with his friends. Toledo Bend was an extremely special place to him. He was also a huge sports fan, mainly baseball and football. His family will always remember his coaching abilities from the couch. He is loved and missed by many friends and family.

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, called Larry home on September 13th, 2023. He joined his parents Lavelle and Esther Parker, his beloved son Tommy ,his brother Harry, and many other family and friends who made the glorious journey before him.

He leaves behind a proud legacy and many wonderful memories to be cherished by his wife Dorothy, his daughter-Teresa (Kenneth) Vahrenkamp, grandchildren-Sydney (Tommy) Castille, Taylor Vahrenkamp, Dustin Parker, and Ranee (Britain) Bentz, great-grandson- Samuel Castille, and brother Mickey (Peggy) Parker.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 21st, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home-Cy-Fair in Houston, TX.
