Thomas Joel "Joe" Mason, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 5, 2018. He is preceded in death by his Sister, Sherry; and Father, Thomas. Joe is survived by his Wife of 30 years, Cindy; Daughter, Taylor; Son, Levi; Mother, Sylvia Mason; Brother, Charles Mason and Wife Karen Sue; Sister; Susan Fletcher; Uncle, Larry Mason; Brother-in-law, Tommy Cheakas; Sister-in-laws, Carol Cheakas and Lisa Kopecky; and a host of other family and friends.

Joe was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston High School. After graduation, Joe worked for Harris County Flood Control for 30 years before retiring. He also worked briefly for Project Surveillance and TXDOT.

Joe's compassionate nature was to always assist others in need. He proudly served in the Texas State Guard. After Hurricane Harvey, Joe traveled all over Texas helping those affected by the hurricane. Joe had a strong work ethic and passed on the importance of always working hard to his children. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Family will receive friends, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home located at 14711 F.M. 1488, Magnolia, Texas 77354 with a service following at 2:00 p.m.
