Thomas Lee Ewing was born in Kingsville, Texas on December 18, 1953, and passed away in Houston, Texas on August 11, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Irwin and Evelyn Ewing, and his brothers Irwin C Ewing, and Don Ewing.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rebecca Ewing; his children, Eric Ewing and his wife April, Jeremy Ewing and his wife Kristen, and Katherine Scaife and her husband Chris; and grandchildren, Clark Ewing, Rebecca Scaife, Michael Scaife, and Kara Ewing.

Tom Graduated from the Southwest Texas College of Law with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. A practicing attorney for over 40 years, Tom argued before courts at every level. He was a world traveler whose favorite destination was his ancestral homeland in Scotland. Tom lovingly considered himself a gourmand, passionate about trying new foods and restaurants, he also took great joy in being a home chef. He was a lover of the Holidays. He delighted in the chance for family gatherings, a big meal, a chance to be playful and to indulge his desire to give his family gifts and affection.

This was his  greatest joy; his family. Tom was a devoted husband, who showered his wife with love and romance. He made sure she was always taken care of and protected. Tom was a doting father who prided in his children's accomplishments and their friendship. He focused on raising his kids to have varied abilities and interests, taking every opportunity to teach them new skills. His love for his grandchildren was a significant source of happiness in his life. He was a familiar face at their various events, loving to watch them grow, perform, compete and just smile.

Tom was known for his easy laugh and clever wit by those who spent time with him. His sharp mind and quick recollection made him a responsible and ready source of support and advice for everyone who knew him.

Both Thomas Lee Ewing's impact on this world and the severity of our loss cannot be measured. He will be eternally loved and forever missed.
