Thomas Cordar, age 70, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026 after a short battle with cancer.
Thomas built a long career with Sony and JVC, where he was known for his dedication and steady presence. Music was a constant thread throughout his life—something he deeply loved and returned to often.
In his retirement years, he was a member of Faithful Paws, a therapy animal group, volunteering alongside his dog, Mickey. Together, they brought comfort and companionship to patients in hospitals and nursing homes. He enjoyed watching sunsets at the beach, spending time with his family, and listening to music.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; his children Christina, John and Justin, his daughter-in-law, Amanda, and his grandchildren: Ollie, Emmy, Murphy, and Lilly as well as many other family members. He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew, and his beloved dog, Mickey.
A memorial service will be held this summer at Daphne Historic Methodist Church in Daphne, Alabama. A celebration of life will follow in the Gulf Shores beach area.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his love of music, and the gentle way he showed up for others. His life touched many in different ways, and he leaves behind a lasting imprint on those who knew him.
