Over the years, Theta and Bob were faithful members of the First United Methodist Churches of Beaumont, Springfield, IL and Conroe, TX. Theta served as a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, St. John's Hospital in Springfield, and with The Assistance League in Conroe. As a supporter of the fine arts, she frequently underwrote the Conroe Symphony's annual Patriotic Concert. Her interests included: hosting dinner parties, traveling with friends, loving her Shelties, reading, playing bridge, sewing clothes, making table decorations and staying informed on political issues. In 1998 she became fondly known as "Grandmommy". In more recent years you could usually find Theta dancing to any music she heard.
