A Celebration of Life for Theresia Hermine Thomson, 84, will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 8th at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, TX.

Theresia passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Spring, TX. She was born November 16, 1940, in Garmisch, Germany to Dr. Heinrich and Theresia Ruff.

Known as Resi, Terry and Omi by her friends and family, she lived her early years in Germany during World War II, learning life lessons about sacrifice, thrift, and compassion. She immigrated to the United States in 1965 and obtained her citizenship in 1974. She lived over half of her life in Tyler, TX where she had many close friends and family, and where she pursued her passion of "buy, sell, and trade". With her exceptional friendliness, trademark German accent and abundant energy, Terry was known and loved by many people in East Texas. She moved to Spring, Texas in 2022 to be closer to family.

She is survived by her loving family including son Lt. Gen. (retired) John C. Thomson III and his wife Holly; grandsons Tyler and Parker Thomson; daughter Maria Brown and her husband James; granddaughter Lauren Moore and her husband Scott; and great grandchildren Everett and Hollyn Moore.  She was preceded in death by two older brothers, Heinrich Ruff and Wilfried Ruff.
