Theresa Mancini went to be with the Lord on February 22 ^nd 2023.

She is survived by her Daughter Carol Anne Maratea, and sons Thomas, Lawrence, & James; preceded in death by her husband Thomas, son Richard, and granddaughter Jessica.  She leaves behind a legacy of 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandsons.

An amazing wife, mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother she was indeed!

Terrie attended daily Mass for 47 years and was very involved in the Catholic Church serving as Eucharistic Minister and Lector.  She touched the hearts of many organizations.  In the New Orleans chapter of her and Tom's life she was president of the Council of Catholic Schools Cooperative Clubs, the Saint Elizabeth Guild, Saint Pius X parish council, Cancer Crusaders, & opened a gift store in the Chateau De Notre Dame Catholic senior living facility.  Along with her four closest friends they were referred to as Archbishop Phillip Hannon's right-hand ladies.

She assisted her husband Tom as president of Catholic Charities fund-raiser events and brought in Catholic entertainers Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Dan Marino to name a few for the Catholic Charities Ball in New Orleans.

She received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Medal (Papal) Honors award and in 1983 was named Catholic American Mother of the Year of the state of Louisiana.

In the Spring, TX chapter of her life she continued making her mark at her parish Christ the Good Shepherd and the Archdiocese of Houston-Galveston.

She was past president of and assisted Tom as founding member of the Serra Apostolate for Vocations of North Houston, served the Shalom Center, was involved in the 55+ club of Christ the Good Shepherd, the Prayer Blanket Ministry, and served on the Parish Festival Committee.
