Theresa Anne Carlson (Uilkie) 76, of Navasota, TX passed away on December 24, 2025 in Tomball, TX after a 25 year struggle with Parkinson's Disease.
Theresa was born December 17, 1949 in Anderson, TX to Bernard and Francis Uilkie (Busa). Growing up in Navasota, Texas, she attended Blinn College and obtained a home economics degree.
She lived briefly in California with her cousin before moving to Houston where she met her husband Brad, they married in 1977. She welcomed her daughter (Amanda) in 1980 and son (Kevin) in 1982. She spent the 80's and 90's dedicated to raising her children at their home in Cypress, TX. Many neighbors remain lifelong friends. She worked briefly as a teacher's aide in early childhood development.
In 2000 she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a battle she fought daily. Her determination and positivity continue to be an inspiration.
In 2004 Theresa proudly became "Grammy" to twin grandsons Andon and Aevin.
In 2016 she moved to "Tomball Retirement Center", her home for 10 years. She leaves many loved friends there.
Theresa was extremely talented and creative. In her early years she took up sewing and later found a passion for floral arrangement and bow making.
She was also gifted with a beautiful singing voice, music was always a highlight of her life. She sang semi-professionally in her 30s and always enjoyed singing with her family.
Theresa had an adventurous spirit, traveling and camping with her family. She loved dancing under the big oak tree at Garner State Park.
She also prided herself on a strong Christian faith and lived her life for her lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Theresa is survived by her daughter Amanda Tweedie (Andrew), grandsons Andon and Aevin, son Kevin Carlson, siblings Geralyn Wilson, Michael Uilkie and Doris Eickenhorst, Ex-husband Brad Carlson (Theresa) and extended family including cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her father Bernard and mother Francis and nephew Sonny.
Theresa was always cheerful and excited about life, she brought joy to everyone around her, all who were touched by her are better for it.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Theresa's honor to the Houston Area Parkinson's Society.

A private service for the immediate family will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:00AM
All are invited to join a celebration of Theresa's life at the Carlson residence on January 10 2026 from 12:00 to 4:00.
The open house will include pictures, food and sharing of memories.
