Our sweetheart and servant of God, Mrs. Thelma Nsuk Bassey gained her angel wings to be in the presence of the most High on Palm Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. The story of her precious earthly existence began on May 10th, 1970 in Lagos, Nigeria. In her early years, Thelma discovered a love for literature and cooking. She also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry in Nigeria. Thelma met Victor Bassey at a church meeting in October of 1988 and on December 17th, 1994, said "Yes" to a life of matrimonial harmony. They moved to the United States and God blessed them with four wonderful children. Thelma and Victor hemmed their lives in prayer and continually used it as a weapon to shield their stars. Life in the U.S. was drastically different, but it was nothing that Thelma could not intelligently adapt to. Thelma pursued a degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Administration and graduated with flying colors. Her tenacity and drive landed her positions in the oil and gas industry. From Exxon Mobil Corporation, Baker Hughes Atlas, and Marathon Oil Company early on in her career to COSCO (China Ocean Shipping Company) for the remainder of it. Thelma was diligent, organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and an all-around amazing woman. She aimed to infuse excellence into all the good Lord permitted her hands to do. Thelma lived a life full of color and in continual reverence to the Power and Glory of God. Everywhere she went, she shared her testimony of healing and God's wonderful works in her life. Her love, kindness, compassion, and service to the King of Kings will forever be remembered to serve as an example to others. We will greatly miss you. The one and only TNB. We love you dearly and may your beautiful soul rest in perfect peace in Jesus Christ' bosom. Amen.
