It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tessie Diana Braly Colborn, who left us on August 8, 2024, in Waller, Texas. Born on February 7, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Tessie lived a life that touched many and was a beacon of love and support to all who knew her. Tessie was the cherished daughter of Travis Earl Braly and Gertrude Mandel Braly King. She grew up with strong family values and carried these principles with her throughout her life. Her deep-seated love for her family created bonds that were unbreakable and everlasting.

Preceded in death by her beloved brother, David Charles Braly, Tessie is survived by a family that spans generations, all of whom adored and respected her. She leaves behind her loving daughter Cecilia Musgrove and son-in-law Jeff Musgrove. Tessie's legacy of love and kindness also lives on through her devoted sisters, Claudia Williams and her husband Jon Williams, and Earleen Bartholomew and her husband Gordon Bartholomew.

Tessie was blessed with the joy of being a grandmother and great-grandmother, better known as Nana. She is survived by her grandchildren: Ashley Pate and her husband Mitchell, Morgan Londenberg and her husband Jeremy, Patrick Kim and his wife Jessica, Brent Musgrove and his wife Mayra, Ryan Musgrove and his wife Kinley, and Scott Musgrove and his wife Laurel. Tessie's love extended to her great-granddaughters Avery Pate, Maci Pate, Ryder Musgrove, and Emery Londenberg, and great-grandsons Wyatt Pate, Axton Musgrove, and Liam Musgrove. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will always remember her warmth and generosity.

Tessie had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She was a cheerleader not only for her family but also for the Texas Aggies, always displaying a spirit of enthusiasm and encouragement. Her passion for being involved and her "fear of missing out" (FOMO) ensured that she was a central figure in family gatherings and events. Tessie's ability to listen, even when she had nothing to say, made her a confidant and a rock for those who needed support. Her selflessness was a defining trait; she consistently placed the needs and happiness of her loved ones above her own. Tessie loved intensely, and her love was a powerful force that brought her family together and made each member feel deeply cherished. Her empathetic nature and unwavering support created a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide her family. While Tessie's passing leaves an irreplaceable void, her memories, love, and the values she imparted will remain with us forever. In this time of mourning, we find solace in the beautiful memories Tessie leaves behind.

Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, ensuring that her legacy of love, selflessness, and involvement endures. Rest in peace, dear Tessie. Your absence is profoundly felt, but your love remains a guiding light for us all. Gig'em.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate the life and Homegoing of Tessie Colborn on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00am, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 5000 W. Tidwell Rd, Houston TX 77091.
