Terri Gene Horswell

Terri Gene Horswell, a retired RN and long term resident of Houston, Texas passed away quietly on March 22, 2018 at the age of 73 while in the care of Seasons Hospice/Parsons House in Cypress.

She was born Sunday, May 14, 1944 in Yuma, Arizona.

Terri was a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School, located outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She continued her education in later years and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University St. Thomas, Houston, Texas in 1985. She began her working career as an Executive Assistant with Allied Chemical in Houston, Texas; after receiving her BSN, she practiced nursing in the medical areas of oncology and psychiatry.

Terri's passions included nature-hiking, rock hunting, and spending time on the beach. She was a lover of nature, Native American art and culture. She had a wonderful way with plants, a "green thumb". Terri was a gentle and kind soul and a loving caretaker to friends and family. She particularly enjoyed cooking for family parties, especially making wonderful Mexican food dishes and the best guacamole.

Terri is survived by her children Robert D. Horswell (wife Teri) and Kenneth A. Horswell; her grandchildren Dylan J. Horswell, Abigail J. Horswell, R. Lucas Horswell; her brother Tom Clawson (wife Coco) and sister Patty Clawson (Yow) (husband Randy). She is predeceased by her parents John Martin Wirt and Patricia Mae Ollerton (Clawson) and stepfather Gordon L. Clawson.

A funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on April 4 at Klein Funeral Home – 16131 Champion Forrest Drive, Spring, TX, 77379.
