Teresa Hengst's Obituary

Age 58

Teresa Kathleen Hengst of Tomball, Texas entered eternal rest, joining her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 20, 2024. She was born on March 10, 1965, to Barbara and Patrick McLaughlin Jr. in Las Vegas, NV. Teresa was loved by all who knew her and touched many lives throughout her lifetime. She will be missed by her family and friends who had the honor of knowing her.

Teresa grew up in Northwest Houston, TX, and graduated from Eisenhower High School. She then went on to work for Liberty Mutual where she met and ended up marrying Max "Kevin" Hengst. The two lived in Houston, TX. Although Teresa and Kevin's marriage ended in a divorce, she never regretted the relationship as she had 3 kids with him, Max "Joshua" Hengst, Jacob Ryan Hengst, and Jordyn Nicole Hengst. Her children were her pride and joy. Teresa put her kids above all else and would not let anything stop her from loving them with 100 percent of her heart. Teresa was diagnosed with Gallbladder Cancer in August of 2020. She faced many challenges with the disease but managed to live well past the 6-month timeline and 3 percent survival rate that was originally given to her. Teresa's strength was evident during this time as she never gave up and continued to fight. When asked how she was able to face all of these obstacles, she would always tell others that she was able to overcome everything because of her love for her children. She didn't want to leave them without a mother. Along with her strength, Teresa was known for having the biggest heart that anyone had ever seen. Her heart had no room for hate or grudges, even from the time she was a child. She loved everyone to the fullest and absolutely hated/wanted nothing to do with anything that involved conflict or confrontation. She was an inspiration and role model to many, especially to her children.

Teresa passed peacefully at St. Luke's Health - The Vintage Hospital at 10:14 a.m. on Saturday, January 20th of 2024. Teresa is survived by her sons Max (Joshua) Hengst and Jacob Hengst, and her daughter Jordyn Boubenider who is alongside her husband Oussama Boubenider. She is also survived by her sister Dena Robinson, her husband Larry Robinson and their children Kyle Robinson and Kyra Robinson along with her brother Pat McLaughlin III, his wife Marie and their children. Additionally, she is survived by many others who loved and supported Teresa and her family throughout the years.

We wish to extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to all who have reached out to Teresa's children and family during this difficult time as the support has helped everyone stay strong, We also want to thank St. Luke's Health for providing phenomenal care, allowing Teresa to pass peacefully and pain-free as her fight came to an end. The love, compassion, and expert care provided an environment that put Teresa at peace as she went to heaven to reunite with both of her parents.
