Teresa "Terri" Garrone was born on January 30, 1961 and passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, after a courageous five-year battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family as she left this world, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Terri was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gianpaolo Garrone; her children, Cristina Garrone, Lidia Smyth, Emma Dyer, and Gianpaolo J. Garrone, along with their spouses; and her five cherished grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life and whom she adored beyond measure.

Terri lived a life centered on family, friendship, and service to others. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing tennis and gathering with friends for spirited games of bunco. She had a creative spirit and found great joy in making jewelry, often sharing her creations with those she loved.

One of Terri's greatest passions was helping animals, especially dogs in need. She dedicated countless hours to dog rescue efforts, volunteering her time to transport dogs to safety, fostering animals in her home, and organizing and hosting adoption events. Through her tireless work and compassionate heart, she helped give countless dogs a second chance at life.

Above all else, Terri treasured time spent with family and friends. Her warmth, kindness, sense of humor, and caring nature made everyone feel welcome. She was a source of strength, encouragement, and love, and her presence enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Terri was preceded in death by her mother, Lydia O'Toole, and her father, Joseph O'Toole.

While her family grieves the loss of her physical presence, they find comfort in the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she leaves behind. Her compassionate spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many animals she helped throughout her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 15, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to AARF Houston in Terri's memory, honoring her lifelong commitment to helping animals.

Terri's love was a gift to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
