Tassy Guenther, 62, left this life peacefully on February 18, 2018 with family by her side.

Tassy was born to Byron T. Giddens and Mildred June Hereford-Giddens on October 25, 1955, in Sealy, Texas. She graduated from Katy High School, class of 1974, going on to Bauder Fashion College in Arlington, Texas. During her time in the DFW area, she met Rodney who would become her husband of 42 years. She was employed by the business office of Memorial City Hospital in Houston, Texas for 16 years.

Tassy was a member of Lifepath Church. She will be remembered for her 22 years of dedicated volunteer work with BSA troop 658. She loved teaching the scouts and watching them develop over the years. Tassy loved nature and the outdoors, especially camping, and fishing. She also enjoyed history, genealogy, reading and scrapbooking. She connected with many people through family history and travel.

Tassy was unique, some even called her "Sassy" Tassy. She was passionate about what she loved, relentless in every endeavor so giving up was never an option! Throughout life's journey she did things "Tassy's Way". Most people would say it was either her way or the highway.

Tassy is survived by her husband, Rodney Guenther, of 42 years; two children: Elton Guenther of Dallas, Texas and Morgan Guenther of Houston, Texas; sister, Kathy "Kay" Giddens-Young of Oregon. She is also survived by an aunt, several uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas "Buddy" and Mildred June Giddens; brother, Thomas "Tag" Andrew Giddens.
