Sylvia Jessee Jones was born in Caldwell, Idaho on December 22, 1944 and graduated to God's Heavenly Kingdom on January 16, 2017. Having a father who worked for the Frisco Railroad, she moved several times during her formative years, but spent most of her teen years in Amory, MS. She graduated from the University of Mississippi BA Education and received a Masters degree in Biblical Studies from Houston Graduate School of Theology and completed post graduate work at Perkins School of Theology, SMU, Dallas, TX, Drew University, Madison, NJ and Ashbury Seminary in Kentucky.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her youngest son Jeffrey Jessee Jones and her parents George M. and Jeanne Jessee. Survivors include a loving faithful husband Robert (Ted) Jones of 50 years, son Robert Trezevant Jones, Jr, wife Rhonda and grandchildren McKenzie, Lochlan, and Gracyn and sister Sue Brindley.

Sylvia enjoyed new challenges, organizing events and interacting with people of all ages. She made life a tremendous adventure for all. Her smile, love of life and devotion to God's people will be remembered by all who knew her. May perpetual light shine upon her.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Tuesday morning, the 24 th of January at Spring Woods United Methodist Church, 1711 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77090.
