Sylvia DeHoyos Acosta, beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed unexpectedly  on May 16, 2022.

Sylvia was born July 14, 1949 in San Angelo, Texas.  Sylvia was the youngest of four children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Estevan and Elva DeHoyos; brother, Jesse and granddaughter, Leslie Sustaita.

Sylvia always had a smile for everyone she met, she was a bright light with the biggest heart. Devoted to her family, she loved music, she adored animals of all kinds, especially her dogs, which were like her children, and her friends.  She was strongly devoted to her faith and volunteered at St. Ignatius in Spring, Tx.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Andy) Sustaita; sisters Stella Ptak, Alicia Sosa; grandchildren Andrew Sustaita and Matthew Sustaita; great-grandchildren Isabel Rankin and Mason Sustaita; nephew Arthur (Delma) Sosa and Lori Sosa, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held June 10 ^th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in San Angelo, Texas with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
