**In Loving Memory of Susana Oliveros Jaimes**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susana Oliveros Jaimes, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, teacher, and friend, who left us on July 29, 2024 at the age of 59. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and an enduring passion for education, faith, and the arts.

Born and raised in Mexico City, Susana was a shining light to all who knew her. As a high school basketball star, she demonstrated early on the determination and spirit that would define her life's journey. She carried this tenacity into her role as a devoted mother of four daughters: Tavhata, Daphne, Heankel, and Megan. Despite the challenges, she ensured that each of her daughters received a college education, instilling in them the values of hard work and perseverance.

Susana was a dedicated science teacher who inspired countless students with her enthusiasm and knowledge. Her commitment to education extended beyond the classroom, as she also engaged in blogging and shared her insights and experiences with a broader community. Her love for learning was contagious, and her influence will be felt for generations.

In addition to her professional achievements, Susana was a woman of many passions. She found joy in the vibrant world of telenovelas and could often be found dancing to the beats of disco music, a genre that brought her immense happiness. As a music therapy enthusiast, she composed beautiful melodies that provided her solace and healing.

Above all, Susana treasured her family. She was a proud grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren: Samuel, Lucas, and Susana. Her love for them was boundless, and she took great pride in their accomplishments and joy.

Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of Susana's journey was her incredible strength and courage in the face of adversity. For 14 years, she bravely fought ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), demonstrating an unwavering spirit and relentless determination. Her battle with this debilitating disease was a testament to her resilience, and she faced each day with grace and dignity, inspiring all who knew her.

Susana was also a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings within the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations, enriching the lives of many with her kindness and dedication. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and provided her with strength throughout her journey.

Her legacy is one of strength, love, faith, and unwavering dedication to her family and students. Susana touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, generosity, and indomitable spirit. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family, friends, and the countless students whose lives she enriched. A celebration of Susana's life will be held on August 3 at Klein Funeral Home.
