Susan Carol (Fenske) Young, 72, was born in Richmond, Texas on December 13, 1953 and passed away on September 16, 2026 in her hometown of Cypress, Texas. Susan was the beloved wife of Richard Young and a devoted mother to Hannah, Jerusha, and Bethany Young.

Susan enjoyed time in Bible study and in giving her time to others. You’d often catch her going to find the next deal or sale, just so she could bless someone else with it. She loved gardening and fishing and overall just being outdoors. She was very competitive, playing racquetball starting in her 20s and transitioning to pickleball in her later years. Her spunky spirit also carried over to her card playing, never letting someone win just to be nice!

Most of all, her welcoming nature and love and care for family and friends will be remembered by all who know her.

Susan is survived by her husband Richard, daughters Hannah and Bethany, and her brothers Carl Fenske and Michael Fenske. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jerusha, and parents, Clarence Fenske and Evanell Fenske.

There will be a slide presentation playing in the chapel one hour prior to service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests potted plants to be sent for the service.
