Susan Marie Reader, born on November 12, 1956, passed away peacefully at her home in Tomball, TX with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was 66.

A loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother, Susan "Sue" was born to Willis and Mary Andersen, sister to Edward, William, and Robert, and grew up in Lansing, Illinois. Sue was a proud graduate of T.F. South High School and received her Associate's Degree from Waubonsee College. She married her husband, Gary in 1980 and began her nursing career shortly after giving birth to her son, Erik. While living in Geneva, she would also have a daughter, Elise. The family would later move to The Woodlands, Texas in the summer of 2005.

Known for her great sense of humor, patience, and caring personality, she helped bring many babies into the world from Chicago to Houston as a labor and delivery nurse. Sue made an impact in the lives of many mothers and families who she was fortunate to assist with exceptional care and by providing comfort when needed.

Sue spent summers in the backyard gardening, loved attending concerts with friends, and she certainly wouldn't resist a nice bottle of wine from her collection. An athlete in her younger years, Sue would later travel around the Midwest and South with her children as they played many sports. Her unmistakable cheers of support could always be heard through the crowd. A dog lover, Sue had many four-legged friends throughout the years that always wanted to join her on the couch while she enjoyed a good book.

While illness caught her off-guard unexpectedly, she gracefully fought her battle with an aggressive cancer. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brother Edward and son, Andrew.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; one son, Erik (Danielle); one daughter, Elise; brothers, William and Robert; mother-in-law, Nancy and many nieces and nephews whom she relished spending time with.
