Susan Everett, age 85, passed away December 18, 2021, in Shenandoah, TX. Susan was born and raised in Nashville, TN. After graduating from Peabody College for Teachers, Susan moved to Houston where she married her husband Keith with whom she had three children. Susan spent her professional career as a teacher, beginning her career in Deer Park, TX. After spending thirteen years raising her children, she taught nineteen years in Aldine ISD. Susan loved teaching and was a lifelong educator, always willing to share her experience with a new generation. In retirement, Susan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Her family will miss her gift of listening without judgment. She cheered on her children and grandchildren's pursuits and was their biggest supporter in success and in struggle. Her children consider themselves blessed by her love and wisdom.

Susan is survived by her children Julie (Mark), Laura, Scott (Elyse), grandchildren Leah, Tristan, Sarah, Hannah, Kirsten, Charlie, and Paige, great-grandchildren Lilah and Levi and brother Robert Rochelle. She was preceded in death by husband Keith, her parents WR and Mary Rochelle, and brothers Richmond and Frank Rochelle.

On Sunday, December 26, 2021, there will be a visitation with Susan's family from 1-2 PM followed by a memorial service at 2 PM at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Rochelle Center, Nashville, TN, or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
