Susan was born on January 19, 1945 to Yale and Velma Salsgiver. She went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
Susan was preceded in death by her father Yale, her mother Velma, brother Lloyd and sister Linda (who died in infancy). She is survived by her husband Shelly, sons Michael and Chad, daughters-in-law Elizabeth and Liz. She is also survived by grandchildren Steven Alley, Ashley Alley, April Alley, Aaron Rojas and Amber Rojas. She is also survived by her brother Paul Salsgiver and his wife Janet plus numerous nieces and nephews.
The great love of Susan's life was her Lord Jesus Who she said was her longtime friend. Susan was very talented and was a gifted singer and composer of Christian songs. She loved her family deeply and always kept them in prayer; she loved to pray. Probably the greatest joy of her life was giving. She loved to bless people by giving them whatever they may need. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Susan loved our dogs and granddogs very much. Some of her favorite times were spent at her parents bay house on West Galveston Island. She will be greatly missed but we know that she is thrilled to be in her new home!
