Sula Faye "Sue" Turbeville of Magnolia departed this life to be with the Lord on August 23, 2019.  She was born October 13, 1927 in Quitman, TX to the late Elmer and Lizzie Dixon.

Sue met the love of her life, Forrest Turbeville, when she was a teenager in Quitman.  They married on December 23, 1946.  They eventually moved to Houston where they made their home and raised two sons.  When Sue found out the new airport was being built in Houston (IAH) she was determined to get a job there.  Not only did she succeed in getting a job, she worked her way up to Supervisor and retired from the City of Houston Aviation Department with 20 years of service.  During this time, they bought property in Magnolia and lived there 50 years. Her husband still lives there today.  Their retirement years were spent traveling the country in a motorhome and sharing experiences with their beloved grandchildren.

Sue was a beautiful, compassionate and loving, wife, mother, and friend.  She was kind and gracious to everyone she met.  She had a wonderful sense of humor that allowed her to laugh at herself and situations.  Her family was always her focus and she loved them fiercely.  She cared for people in the most amazing and generous ways, offering her home and her heart to many throughout her life.

Sue truly lived out her Christian faith.  Without question, she knew her Savior and she understood God's love.  She trusted His plan and served Him well throughout her life, in times of blessing as well as times of pain.  Sue and Forrest were members of the Magnolia United Methodist Church for 26 years.  After that they became "charter members" of Wildwood United Methodist Church in Magnolia where Sue faithfully attended until she could no longer manage it.

Sue is survived by her husband of 72 years and 8 months, Forrest W. Turbeville; son, Ric M. Turbeville and wife Jennifer; daughter-in-law, Susan Turbeville; grandchildren, John Turbeville and wife Kenya; Cheryl Robinson and husband Billy; Matthew Allen Turbeville, and Samantha Elaine Turbeville; great-grandchildren, Evan Wayne, Grace Elaine, Catherine, Brooks, Alexander, Athena and Harry. In addition to her parents Sue was preceded in death by her son, Darrell W. "Rusty" Turbeville; and her sister, Norma Rappe. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Klein Funeral Home in Tomball.  Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the Wildwood United Methodist Church in Magnolia.  Burial will follow at the Klein Memorial Park on 249 in Pinehurst.
