Steven Michael Walters
January 14, 1974 - June 6, 2026
Steven Michael Walters, 52, of Spring, Texas, passed away at home surrounded by his family on June 6, 2026. Steven was born on January 14, 1974, in Westbranch, Michigan, to Michael Walters and Sheila Slade. Steven proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a truck driver. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and also at Camp Pendleton, in California, and at Camp Lejeune, in North Carolina. In his professional life, Steven worked for 30 years at Comcast.
Steven enjoyed many hobbies, but his family and friends fondly remember him as a firearms enthusiast and a strong supporter of veteran causes, volunteering his time to Camp Hope to bring awareness to veteran suicide. He loved sailing and deep sea fishing. He was also a strong supporter of girl scouting and outdoors. He found peace in mountain biking, and he never found a beach he could not enjoy.
Steven was a faithful member of Christchurch Baptist Fellowship, a thoughtful peer in the Foundation Sunday School Class, a loyal friend at the Old Man Coffee, and a constant encourager at the Christchurch Couple's Retreat. Above all, Steven was a devoted family man and a man of Christian faith. He treasured every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and he is cherished by the many people that he helped in life as a surrogate father figure. Known for his strong work ethic, quick sense of humor, and genuine kindness, he lived his life with a love for Jesus Christ, his Savior.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Walters; his children, Kody Walters (Morgan), Dakota Walters (Amin), and Luca Como; his grandchildren, Merida Walters, Aurora Walters, and Sampson Walters; and his mother, Sheila Iseminger. He was predeceased by his father, Michael Walters.
