Steven Jack Hoyt's Obituary
Steven J. Hoyt, age 72, of Cypress, TX, formally of Marshall, IL passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Houston Hospice.
Steve was born on July 19, 1948 to Billy Jack and Lois Hoyt. He was a 1966 Graduate of Marshall High School in Marshall, IL.
Survivors include his
step-son, Roger (Cindy) Shotts and step-daughter, Jennifer Shumaker, both of Marshall, IL, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great- grandchildren. Steve was also a loving step-dad and granddad to Steve (Rebecca) Titus, Johnny (Jill) Titus and Johnny's sons, Jonathan and Justin Titus of Houston, TX. Steve is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean Deverick, his parents and step-son, Ricky Shotts.
A devoted member of Cypress United Methodist Church, Steve was involved with men's ministries. He also sang in the choir and participated in Disciple Bible Studies, the Walk to Emmaus and Kairos Prison Ministry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cypress United Methodist Church on Monday July 19,2021 at 11 AM. Everyone is welcome to attend.
