It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephen Tunal, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world on September 5th, 2025, at the age of 48. Stephen was a man whose infectious laughter, boundless energy, and heart of gold made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

Feisty, funny, and always up for a good time, Stephen had a way of brightening any room he walked into. His humor was sharp, his spirit strong, and his love for his family unwavering. He dedicated his life to being the rock for those he loved, always there as a caring uncle, a loyal brother, and a devoted son. Though he often kept a relatively private life, when it came to family, he made sure to show up—and show up big.

A passionate gamer, Stephen could often be found immersed in his favorite games, always ready for a challenge. But his talents didn't stop there. He was also an amazing cook, able to whip up anything from a simple sandwich to the best fajitas with the same love and care he put into everything he did. When he wasn't gaming or cooking, you could find him admiring cars, his love for automobiles as deep as his love for the people in his life.

A proud patriot, Stephen had a deep love for his country and the freedom it provides. He took great pride in being part of something larger than himself, always carrying the spirit of gratitude for the opportunities and privileges he was given. His absence will be felt by many.

Stephen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will never be forgotten. He is survived by his parents and brothers. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Palacios. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him, but his spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the love we continue to share.

Rest in peace, Stephen. You were a treasure to all of us, and your legacy of love, humor, and loyalty will never fade. You will always be missed.
