Steve was born on May 27, 1945, in Fort Myers, Florida, to Jay and
Helen Serrill.

He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica; his daughter, Adrienne
Mortimer of Houston; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Ken
Taylor of Fort Myers, Florida; his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and
David Lowe of Hamilton, Alabama; his cousins, John Barber Serrill of
Austin, Texas and Judith Ann Drake of Midlothian, Virginia; his step-son
and wife, Emmett and LeighAnn Greene of Montgomery, Texas;
numerous nieces and nephews; and many very dear friends.

A true love story began on June 26, 2004, when Steve married Veronica
at Grace Episcopal Church in Port Lavaca. He was 59 years old at that
time and it was the beginning of the best 17 years of his life. That love
never ended, not even when he peacefully passed from this world on
July 2, 2021.
