Stephen Robert McInerny, 89, of Tomball, Texas, passed from this life on February 12th, 2026.  He was born on Oct. 4, 1936, in Woburn, Massachusetts to Stephen Chester McInerny and Helen Haggerty.

A man whose kindness was felt by every soul he met—whether they walked on two legs or four passed away peacefully with his wife right by his side.  Known for his gentle spirit and easy smile, Steve was the cornerstone of his family. To him, there was no such thing as a "stray".  He was a man of simple pleasures and immense love and never happier than when his house was full of family and his lap was full of wagging tails.

In his memory, the family asks that you hug your pets a little tighter today.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Lynn, his children, Lisa and Stephen and his stepchildren, Brent, Kent and Kim.

A graveside service will be held at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery Houston Thursday, Feb. 19th at 10:15 am. For those planning to attend the graveside service, please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time and get in lane 2.
