Stephen P. Kennedy, 73, died on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, in Houston, Texas due to natural causes.

Stephen was born on August 9, 1950, to Thomas and Leona Kennedy in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where he grew up alongside his older brother, Tom, and his younger brother, Jeff. After graduating from Rutgers University, he followed in his parents' footsteps by joining the Air Force. He met his loving wife of forty-six years, Linda, while stationed in Lubbock, Texas. They were married in September 1976 and moved overseas to Spain, where they grew their family with the birth of their only daughter, Amber, in January 1978. Two years later, Stephen left the military, moved to Houston, and started a career in sales and logistics with Conoco. Over the years, he worked for many companies in similar industries and eventually started a business of his own.

Stephen was a proud, gritty, and ultimately warm-hearted family man. He was a lover of golf, fishing, and any endeavors involving his grandchildren. As a sports enthusiast, he could regularly be found watching a variety of sports, ranging from college basketball to women's soccer. He had a deep love for music from the 60s and would regularly listen to his favorite bands, Queen and the Beach Boys. Being a natural problem solver at his core, he jumped at every opportunity for at-home projects. He was an exemplary man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Linda, daughter, Amber, two grandchildren, Phoenix and Phoebe, Austin and Breanna whom he also considered his grandchildren, and his two brothers, Tom and Jeff. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
