Stephen Ray (Steve) Gullion beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday April 22, 2022 at the age of 76.
He was born in Texarkana, Texas on November 6, 1945. At the time of his passing, he was residing in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his son, Brent Gullion, his parents, Sam Turner Gullion and Maggie Lee Gullion, and brother, Bill Gullion.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Myrna E. "Liz" Gullion; Son, Greg Gullion and wife Christine; Daughter, Angela Blair and husband Claude; and four grandchildren, Anna Gullion, Luke Gullion, Gage Blair, and Riley Blair; sisters-in-law, Elinore Block; Diane Gullion; Nancy Manuel and husband Gary; and brother-in-law, Eugene Edwardson and wife Clara Ann; nephews Dean Edwardson, Jerome Block, Brian Block and wife Tracie, Stacy Gullion and wife Tina, Steven Edwardson and wife Diane, Kyle Manuel and wife Joni, David Manuel and wife Mandy nieces Susan Johnson, Linda Ray and husband Tom, Marilyn Flaig and husband Shelby, Gloria Burkhart and husband Ross, Leann Goyco and husband Rafael, and Kristi and Doug Dean with all of their families; and along with many good friends from his church family.
Steve graduated from Baylor University after spending much of his extra time playing College Baseball for Baylor as a pitcher. He started his career, as an accountant, with Texaco Oil and after several joint-ventures, he retired from Shell Oil, as a manager, after 39-years of dedicated service in their IT-Support Department.
Steve loved his family, his grandchildren, golfing, boating, traveling, cruising, fishing, singing with the Solid Rockers church choir, serving with his Life Group, and visiting with his many friends. His big smile would light-up-the-room and warm-the-hearts of everyone around him. He will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring, TX 77379.
A funeral service for Steve will be held at 10am on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Champion Forest Baptist Church in the Chapel, 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069.
He will be laid to rest in Klein Memorial Park on FM 2920 in Tomball, TX at 2pm on Saturday, following the funeral and reception.
