Stephen Troy Dolen, 49, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on December 2, 2023.

Stephen was born on November 14, 1974, to Darleen Hardin in Harris County Texas. After graduating from Tomball High School in 1993, Stephen, inspired by his love of raising cattle with his grandfather, Arnold Martens, went on to study Animal Science at Sam Houston State University.

After graduating with a degree in Animal Science and working throughout college as a landscaper, Stephen started his career at Houston Oaks as an Assistant Superintendent. He quickly discovered a passion for sales and worked for several turf management companies before ultimately becoming a Territory Manager at Harrell's in 2014. During his time at Harrell's, Stephen received numerous awards and accolades. He won Rookie of the Year in 2014 and was nominated for Salesmen of the Year in 2015 and 2020. Also, he was among a small elite group recognized for the highest earning sales award that his company bestowed each year. Steve was not only a leader and mentor in his region but was one of the top salesmen in his company whom everyone respected and looked up to. His passion, knowledge, and work ethic were evident each day and that is why his customers trusted and believed in him to help them succeed.

In 1993 Stephen and Stephanie started dating while in college and married in 1997. Stephen and Stephanie went on to have three children, Ryanne Taylor Dolen (25), Reece Arnold Dolen (19), and Grace Ryleigh Dolen (17). Though his professional success was immense, his dedication to his role as a father was unparalleled, never wavering in his love, support, and guidance. Some of his last actions included lessons to his children. To Grace, he taught that a project didn't have to be perfect, just to work well and complete. To Reece, Stephen said if someone asked Stephen what is more important, your job or your family, his answer would be his job because his job provided for his family. To Ryanne, he instructed her to have fun often; life is too short not to enjoy it. Stephen's greatest accomplishment was his children and his relationship with his wife, Stephanie.

When Stephen wasn't visiting his customers or on the phone with EB or Jon Snider, you would always find him in the outdoors. Stephen grew up hunting and fishing and continued the tradition of life outdoors with his friends and children. He took every opportunity lugging Ryanne through freezing mud - duck hunting, sitting in a blind with Reece, cheering Gracie on at a golf tournament, or sitting on the back porch with Stephanie.

Stephen was predeceased by Arnold and Ruby Martens. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Stephanie Dolen, and his children Ryanne Dolen, Reece Dolen, and Grace Dolen, his mother; Darleen Hardin, sister; Angie (Dolen) Mundkowsky, and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew.
