Stanton Charles Lee, age 54, of Spring Texas, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, June 6 th at The Woodlands Memorial Hermann Hospital after a courageous battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). He was the beloved husband of Deanna Lee and amazing father of Lauren Lee Kelley, Ashlen Lee and Austin Lee.

Stan was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 15, 1963. He was the son of Sonya (Calk) Alexander and the late Sid Lee. He was the brother of Kristen (Lee) Slaughter and Stephen Lee. He traveled and sang extensively with his family in evangelistic music. Stan graduated from Huntington High School where he was their school mascot. His first church upon going into ministry, at the age of 18, was in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. He had many churches where he served in Arkansas while he was attending Ouachita Baptist University. From the age of 13 he was a competitive swimmer at COSST (City of Shreveport Swim Team), under Butch Jordan, and collegiate swimmer at OBU. The Last church he served at in Arkansas was First Baptist Jacksonville.

From there he moved to Corpus Christi to serve as the youth minister at Gardendale Baptist Church. There he met his wife, Deanna Field, and they were married in February of 1989. While serving in Corpus Christi, Stan and Deanna had their first two children, Lauren and Ashlen.

Stan was an incredible person and loved pouring into youth ministries. In 1988, Stan started Dare2Run Camp Ministries. For 25 years he ministered to thousands of students and children through these camps.

In 1995 he was called to go serve as the Singles and College Pastor at First Baptist Church in Chandler, Arizona. In 1997, Stan and his family moved to Killeen, Texas where he served as the youth minister and Memorial Baptist Church. While living in Killeen, Stan and Deanna had their last child, Austin Lee.

In 2000, Stan made his final move to Spring, Texas. There he served at Crosspoint Community Church from 2000-2005. In 2005 Stan became the Creative Arts Pastor at The Church at Creeks End. There he also started his video production company, DTR Media. This included countless recordings of musicals and performances from choirs, bands and dance companies.

Stan served with such a selfless love to his family and numerous ministries that he was involved in. He loved all things Disney and anything electronic. We mourn the loss of such an amazing husband, father and friend, but we have such a great hope that he is now walking, talking and singing with our Lord Jesus Christ.
