Stanley Robbins Livesay, passed away on February 26, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and friend. He was full of joy no matter the circumstances and never lost his special sense of humor. He wanted to be remembered for his service to Christ, his heavenly Father, and how much he loved his family. He enjoyed people and laughing every day of his life.

Stanley is reunited with his soulmate Joyce who preceded him in death in 2018. He is also preceded in death by his infant son Michael Lane, and by brothers, Dr. William Rugeley Livesay and Ret. Colonel Crawford Patterson Livesay Jr., USAF.

Stanley is survived by his children Robert P. Livesay, Carolyn L. Guinn and husband Charlie, Amy E. McPherrin and husband Bob and Thomas A. Livesay and wife Kimberly.

He is remembered fondly as "Grandpa Stan", by Rebecca, Mary, Matthew, Tyler, Cody, Ryan, Kayla and Faith, all of whom were the joy of his life. He spent every chance celebrating their accomplishments and cheering them on in all their sporting activities. Stanley loved to play golf, host family and friends at his house on Lake Medina, as well as cheering on his beloved Texas Aggies! Stanley was a proud member of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students since its inception in 1975.

Stanley was born August 10th, 1930 in Sellers, Louisiana to the late Crawford Patterson Livesay and Lilie Rebecca Rugeley Livesay. He attended San Jacinto High School in Houston, in 1952 graduated from Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He earned the honor of being Squadron C Airforce Commander with the Aggie Corp of Cadets. Upon graduation, he served as a 1st Lieutenant, 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing in the Korean War.

In 1955, he attended the University of Oklahoma, earning a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He also met and married Joyce E. Clemons on September 4th, 1955, a marriage lasting 63 years.

During his fifty-year career in the Oil & Gas Industry, he served as Vice President for APCO Oil, Vice President for Reserve Oil, which was later acquired by Getty Oil, and after several years with Magna Energy Corp, he continued as an independent oil producer.

Stanley and Joyce joined Grace Presbyterian Church of Houston in 1972 where he served on the board as an Elder and made lifelong friends.

Stanley's favorite bible verse was Psalm 23.

The family would like to thank Denise Hoffman and her staff at Solana Vintage Park, as well as Lisa Arnold and her team at Park Manor of CyFair; and also the staff at Brookdale Hospice Care, especially Jessica Brownie RN, for the amazing and loving care he received in his final weeks.
