Sondra Lee Delcambre Muchow Meech

Sondra (Sandi) 81, went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2025, passing peacefully at Willow Creek in Tomball where she had been living since June.  Born in Opelousas, Louisiana on September 22, 1943, and raised until she moved to Houston Texas in 1952 where she lived her life.

She went to work at Foley's as soon as she was of age and worked as an elevator hostess and in the Security office until she finished school, graduated from San Jacinto High School, and Houston Community College.  Right out of high school she became a hairdresser and did Gail, her sister's hair, until she could no longer stand and then she had Gail sit on the floor in front of her to do it.  Gail never let anyone touch her hair, she was that good. She worked at Jimmy's Auto for a while as a bookkeeper, she then went to work at Valve Technology until she retired.

Sandi loved life, she was a wonderful artist, painting was her passion, but she also loved Folk Art and making Jewelry.   She also had three other loves, her family and friends, her pets and shopping!  All of her pets crossed over the Rainbow Bridge before her, Prissy, FuFu, Mitzy, Amanda, Samanatha, Streak and Sarina.

She is proceeded in death by Mother IdaMae Delcambre, Father Lee Joseph Delcambre and Stepmother Agnes Delcambre, husband Eldo G. Muchow, Jr and Uncle Mark Lennox.

She is survived by her loving sisters Gail Grigar (Jerry), Jacqueline Delcambre (Edie Luc), brother Lee J. Delcambre, Jr. Niece Enjolee Delcambre Rogers (Jordy), Great niece Brilee Marie Rogers and Great nephew Parker Lee Rogers, niece Ashley Delcambre, nephew Jonathan Delcambre, niece Kathy Muchow Henderson and cousins,  Rosie Okabayashi, Joseph Duffy (Josh), Barbara Orr and lifelong friends Patty Hallas, daughters Alexandra and Samantha Hallas, Tom Hallas, Kat Cutmull (Ken), Veronica Wilson (Wil) and so many friends.

Thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice for the loving care given in her last hours and to the loving nursing staff at Willow Creek.

God in his infinite mercy took her to be with him leaving a hole in our lives but left us with wonderful memories.
