Sondra Jean Conley passed away peacefully on January 25, 2023, at the
age of 86. Sondra was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 29, 1936,
to David and Maxine Santee. She graduated from Will Rogers High
School in Tulsa and then went on to the University of Oklahoma. While at
OU, she met the love of her life, Gene Conley. They were married on April
20, 1957, and were wed for 39 years. Through Gene's work, they moved
often and lived in Tulsa, OK, Midland, TX (three times), Lafayette, LA,
Calgary, Alberta, and Houston, TX (twice), where they eventually retired.
Sondra and Gene were avid bridge players and whenever they moved to a
new location, they quickly found out who lived near them that could play
bridge. Sondra and Gene instilled in their children a great love of music
and it could always be heard playing in their home. Sondra loved to read
and she loved to bake, especially for her family and friends.
Sondra was preceded in death by her parents, David and Maxine Santee,
her husband, Gene Conley, her two brothers John and Delford Santee, her
brother-in-law and his wife, George and Suzanne Conley.
Sondra is survived by her six children and their spouses - Steve and Mary
Conley, Kelly and Greg Seiter, Carrol and Mike Chapman, Ann and Paul
Leventis, Jamie and Fred Riscen, and Janice and Luke Reynolds. She is
also survived by 17 grandchildren, Devin Conley, Derek Conley and his
wife Hannah, Zachary Conley, Catherine Conley, Garrett Seiter, Kristin
Arnold and her husband Preston, Kasey Seiter, Tyler Chapman, Ryanne
Chapman, Colten Chapman and his wife Rebecca, Rachel Baumann and
her husband Blake, Jordan Leventis and his wife Lindsey, Aaron Leventis
and his wife Katelyn, Hannah Leventis, Haley Riscen, Amory Hitt and her
husband Micah, Alyssa Harmon and her husband Nate. Additionally she is
survived by 13 great grandchildren, Violet Conley, Remi Conley, Clara
Arnold, Rhett Baumann, Tate Baumann, Luke Leventis, JD Dick, Kolby
Dick, Leona Hitt, Ezra Hitt, Chanson Harmon, Maevie Harmon, and
Anthem Harmon.
Sondra was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Even though her family was large, she always made time for everyone and
made them feel that they truly were her favorite.
She will be remembered for her big heart, her pure joy of each day, her
quick and outlandish sense of humor, and her unconditional love for every
person in her life.
She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed. Mom/Grandma/Great
Grandma, you will forever be our favorite!
