Obituary

Shirley Eloise Frey went home to be with her Savior on February 11, 2018.
Shirley was born in Houston, Texas, on June 28, 1934. She was one of ten children born to Joseph Benjamin and Maggie Ola Thomasson. Shirley graduated from Aldine High School in 1952 and Massey Business College in 1953. She also attended Sam Houston Sate University when her boys were teenagers.
Shirley met the love of her life of 64 years, Jack Frey, at a Christian youth camp. Together they had four sons; Richard, John, Paul, and David. Since moving to the Tomball/Magnolia area in 1971, Shirley has been actively involved in the community, Tomball Bible Church, and Magnolia First Baptist Church. She served as president of the Tomball Study Club and the Tomball Republican Pachyderm Club. She attended many years of Bible Study Fellowship and lead numerous Bible studies in her church and in the community. She was also very active in supporting the Tomball area Young Life. For seven years she ran a bed and breakfast at her beautiful home and hosted many weddings and receptions. Shirley loved her family, entertaining, birds, gardening, and the Texas hill country.
Her family and friends loved her so much, and she will be greatly missed.
Shirley is survived by her husband Jack Frey; her sons, Richard, John, Paul, and David; her daughter in loves, Chris, Sharon, Beth, and Joanna; her 12 grandchildren; her fourgreat grandchildren; her brothers, Don and Tim Thomasson; her sisters, Mary Ola Fordyce and Pat Powers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gifts in her memory can be sent to Magnolia's First Baptist Church, Camp Peniel, or Camp Blessing.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 16, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, at Magnolia's First Baptist Church, 18525 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354.
