Sherron Brummett Barnes of Spring, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 78.  She was born May 24, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Edison High School in 1965 before attending Oklahoma State University.   After graduating, she went to work for Cities Service in the Distribution department and through industry events met the love of her life, Steve Barnes, and they married in 1976.

Sherron was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all of us who were lucky to be in her orbit.  You could always feel her warmth and generosity.   Her laugh was contagious and her favorite times were the holidays being around her family.   Whether in the early days driving to see family in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Florida, or having her seven beautiful grandchildren descend on her house, Sherron was always ready for a full house.  Sherron was known for being a loyal friend, providing a welcoming home for everyone, especially for her children's friends growing up (her trick was to always have the fridge and pantry full), having a superhuman power for listening to others, and being a shining example on the power of love.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years and her entire world, Steve Barnes; her daughter Megan Little, and son Seth Barnes; her son-in-law Nate Little, and daughter-in-law Michelle Barnes; and her amazing grandchildren Annie, Luke, Stella, Sam, Carter, Oliver, and Maggie; as well as incredible n laws, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Sherron was preceded in death by her father, Herman Brummett, her mother, Jeannette Stofle Brummett, her brother Rusty Brummett, and her in laws Robert Barnes and Vernadean Barnes.
