Obituary

Shelley Danielle Avenell born May 12,1973 to Robert and Lynda Whitlock passed on November 8, 2020.

Married her forever boyfriend Steven P. Avenell December 21, the love of her life. Shelley and Steven were inseparable. They were the love of each others lives. Best friends and soul mates.

Shelley was preceded in death by her amazing daughter, Katie Elizabeth Avenell, her father in-law, Paul Avenell, maternal grandparents Elmo and Veva Bluth, and her paternal grandparents Bob and Gwen Whitlock.

She is survived by her son Tyler Avenell, siblings Jon (Jami) Whitlock, Chad (Bonnie) Whitlock, and Cory (Angela) Whitlock, Kim (Ron) Jones, mother in law, Gayle Avenell, sister in law, Kim (Albert) Caldwell, nephews Paul David Linker, Jaden Whitlock, Jaxon Jones, Elijah Whitlock and niece Jada Jones.

As a member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she consistently tried to follow the example of Jesus Christ to embody the qualities of faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, godliness, charity, humility, and  diligence.

Shelley's boundless compassion continually championed those whose voices were too soft to be heard. She participated in marches and fund raisers for causes dear to her heart. That passionate heart befriended animals making sure the untamed wanderers never lacked for food.

"Momma" was her favorite word. Known for her endless devotion to her family and those she loved, she reached beyond her limits to assist any of them in need of her help. Yet, she demanded very little for herself looking beyond her own needs and wants to the greater purpose of helping others.

Shelley, GIFTED WITH A SPARKLING personality and unending humor, lifted those around her to understand the joy found in life. HER SPONTANEOUS LAUGHTER AND EXUBERANCE BROUGHT JOY INTO SO MANY LIVES.

New ideas energized her into action solidifying the unfamiliar to become part of her life- learning which enabled her wisdom to be a gift she shared eagerly.

Her final gift was her choice to become an organ donor in the Life Gift Program. This priceless gift gave life to three individuals.

Shelley, you will be forever loved and forever missed. Until we meet again when one more day becomes forever-days together.  See you on the other side princess.
