Sharon Victory McGowan, a 40 year resident of the Champions area, died Saturday, November 11, 2017. Born, August 5, 1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Thomas E. Victory and Currie Esther Horton Victory, Sharon attended Creswell Elementary, C.E. Byrd High School and graduated from Centenary College in 1960, where she met and married Larry W. McGowan in 1961. Preceded in death by her sister Sallie Victory McKenzie and her brother Stephen T. Victory. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry W. McGowan, her daughter, Lisa McGowan Hardin of Spring, TX; her son, Scott Christopher McGowan (Melodie) of Edmond, OK; her grandchildren, Harrison Lockwood Hardin, Charles Oliver Hardin, Katherine Armstrong Hardin and Logan Scott McGowan; her brother, Jeffrey P. Victory (Nancy) of Shreveport, La; and sisters, Jennifer Victory of Shreveport, La; Frances Schenkkan (Pieter) of Austin, Tx; and Ellen Bell (Joe) of Austin, TX. A visitation will be held at Klein Funeral Home of Tomball on November 17th from 5:00 -7:00 pm, with a private family service at a later date.
