Sharon Jernigan Garland, 73, of Conroe, passed away January 13, 2019.  She was born December 21, 1945, in Houston, Texas to the late Dewey Clifton Jernigan and Lura Leslie Jernigan.

Sharon lived in the Houston and Woodlands area all her life and held various jobs over the years in the real estate, property and non-profit sectors. She was smart, strong and hard-working but her greatest claim to fame was loving her family. She would give anything she had to anyone who needed it – even if they didn't know they needed it. She always wanted better for others than what they dreamed for themselves. Like her sisters, she was a great cook and loved flowers and gardening. She could grow roses like no one else. Through her example, she taught those around her to work hard, give freely and love deeply. While she will be missed greatly for a time, we rejoice in knowing she is with our Lord and Savior and we will surely meet again.

She is survived by her husband, James Garland; children, Michael Warren Walters, Jr. and wife Tami, David Wayne Walters and wife Kimberly, Jennifer Renee Svedonik and husband Jozef, and Cynthia Claudette Allen and husband Keith; brother, Dewey Jernigan and wife Fern; sisters, Margaret Bruce-Eickman and husband Terry and Debra Worley; grandchildren, Braden Walters, Charles Walters, Eli Walters, Isaac Walters, Jacey Neuberger and Alia Neuberger and countless nieces, nephews, family and friends that she dearly loved.

Including her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Homesly and husband Frank; brother-in-law, Dan Bruce; nephew, Brian Jernigan and several other extended family and friends that are dearly missed.
