In loving memory of Shannon Myles Sturgis

Shannon Myles Sturgis, born on March 10, 1967, in Sturgis, Michigan, left this world on December 25, 2023. A respected and successful business owner. Shannon was the founder of Southwest Tax Recovery, leaving an indelible mark on the business community.

Shannon was not only a dedicated entrepreneur but also a loving father to his two sons, Sean and Ethan. He dedicated himself to his work with an incredible drive as to provide a lasting legacy for his children. His pride and joy, they will carry forward this legacy with the same strength and determination that defined their father.

Outside of the business world, Shannon found solace and joy by the water, cherishing moments of tranquility and the beauty that the beach had to offer, with a stiff drink of course. He had a passion for life, and never said no to time with friends and family. He was generous and enjoyed Christmas as his favorite day of the year, he was known for over the top gift giving and the ability to throw the best Christmas ever.

Known for his sociable nature, Shannon was a conversationalist who effortlessly made friends. His ability to connect with others left a lasting impact on the lives he touched. Shannon's warm heart, sense of humor, and love for his family will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In this time of grief, let us remember Shannon for the joy he brought into our lives and the positive impact he had on those around him. May his spirit find eternal peace. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Ann Sherman, His father Ronald Sturgis, and his Mother Lana Freeland. He is survived by his Step Father Craig Freeland and his sons, Sean Michael Sturgis, and Ethan Andrew Sturgis. His girlfriend Rachel and her kids, Summer, Mason, Madison, and Kayla.
