On the evening of Saturday July 17 ^th ,  God chose to call one of his angels home. Shannon Salonius passed away peacefully after a long and well fought battle with many ailments she endured over the course of a life taken too soon. Shannon was born on December 14 ^th 1963 in Center Texas to Diane and Jerry Jackson who soon moved their family to Houston where she grew up along with her beloved younger sister Rene. Shannon attended Scarborough Highschool and graduated to begin a career in accounting at several companies in the Houston area where she excelled and prospered building a fruitful life for herself and her family.

She was married and had two children, Tiffany and Tyler, who she loved and adored with relentless unconditional guidance and support throughout every aspect of their lives. Shannon was a giving person who was always available when the need arose from family or friends for help or assistance in any circumstance she could aid with. Shannon had a love for animals and took in many "fur babies" over the years and cared and loved for each and every one of them without prejudice. She was a loving wife who was a true "life partner".  She never walked in front of, or behind her husband but always beside him in all life's trials and tribulations as we are all dealt. She was a tremendously talented cook and she loved spending time in her wonderfully landscaped yards and gardens tending to plants and making her home a true warm place to be.  Her laugh was infectious and it would truly light up a room and bring smiles to peoples faces on any occasion. Shannon was always conscience of her appearance and she dressed to the nines for any and all occasions whether it was a wedding, a BBQ cook out, or a trip to the coast. She absolutely loved to dress up and do her make-up and she was an extremely attractive lady who had a personality to mirror that. Shannon never met a stranger and it was never uncommon for her to strike up conversations with total strangers like she had known them her entire life. She always made people feel warm and welcome in her presence. Shannon had that fiery personality and it was obvious she was filled with that East Texas southern ladies charm of "fire and water" when the time called for each.

She will be dearly missed and never forgotten by any and all the people whose lives she touched. Shannon is survived by her immediate family, Daughter Tiffany Flores, son Tyler Salonius, and husband Richard Salonius, grandson Logan.  Shannon is also survived and dearly missed by her Mother Diane Jackson, Sister Rene Cope with husband Roger Cope, Niece Brooke Cope with husband Christopher and their children Preston , Travis and Alexa . She was preceded in death by her beloved father Jerry Jackson.

A celebration of her life ceremony and get together for family and friends will take place on a date yet to be determined.  The family will reach out with dates and information to follow.
